Well done! Despite living in a world filled with distractions your people are able to place their attention on what matters most each day, hold it there and seldom be distracted. And despite the chaos and unmet expectations in everyday life, your people know how to be resilient and agile in that world. More often than not, people are positive, productive and happy as they go through their workday.


6-11 Points

Not bad.  Some of your people are able to manage their attention well, while others are more reactive or distracted.  Parts of your organization function with good productivity, focus and resilience, while other parts carry a background hum of frustration, anxiety and negativity.


0-5 Points

I’m guessing you thought your organization was doing OK and getting by like everyone else. On one hand it is.  But I expect there are times where life can feel hard for your people. The lower your score, the more you will notice that people seem scattered, frustrated and overwhelmed.  You may even wonder how this impacts the bottom line?

Here’s some of the ways that cost shows up: 

  • stress and anxiety cause a loss of concentration, motivation and memory,

  • a lack of focus means that people work harder than they should just to keep up,

  • stress affects people’s ability to see the priorities, meaning they often waste time on unimportant tasks or time wasters,

  • stress and a lack of focus not only affect productivity, they hamper creativity and innovation,

  • chronic stress leads to greater sick days, burnout and short-term or long-term disability

  • poor mental wellbeing affects all aspects of people’s lives; their health, their relationships and their overall happiness.

While people can get by like this, there’s got to be a better way. 


There is hope!

I’m here to let you know that, even if you landed in one of the lower scoring categories, there is hope for your people to literally find more time in their day, to be more productive, to be more positive and to have the tools they need to deal with the challenges they face. Your people have simply been doing the best they can with the tools they have.
